One of the problems with sewing reinforced pvc is that the sewing needle has to pierce holes .
This is not ideal where covers need to be waterproof . Whilst sewn seams can be treated with sealants , High Frequency Welding provides a better alternative on straight joins . This facilty ,which works well with PVC materials , enables flat seams to be welded together , or shaped pieces to be welded in the middle of sheets. This is useful where joins need to be waterproof . It is also useful for neatly reinforcing stress areas. For example where our larger trailer covers need more than one piece of material a welded joint is used ,as well as reinforcing corners before sewing up . It also provides a neat way of attaching clear pvc windows in boat canopies Where cost /time is important printed information or logos can be welded behind clear window material onto PVC items . |
